Position: Project Electrical Engineer
Location of job: Pittsburgh, PA area
Duration: Permanent
Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Master of Science preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 8 years of related experience, required.
Compensation: Comp range 80-110k with the top level reserved for folks with med device experience + 10% bonus potential
Relocation: Available
Responsibilities:
• Be a highly motivated, self disciplined, open minded, individual possessing hands-on skills.
• Successfully interact with other key group members in the Software and Mechanical disciplines.
• Provide technical expertise in the development and design of analog and sensor signal conditioning circuits, microprocessor systems, programmable and discrete digital logic, power supply circuitry, electrical/electronic interfacing systems and a general understanding of systems embedded software functionality.
• Design, analyze and test circuits and overall systems to meet project requirements, regulatory safety requirements, EMC requirements, RI quality requirements and internal hazards requirements.
• Conduct design reviews and successfully interact with New Product Development, Purchasing, Product Engineering, Marketing, Suppliers and technology leaders to achieve project and product objectives for safety, performance, manufacturability, reliability, cost, quality, and time to market.
EXPERIENCE:
• Demonstrated experience in the design of analog and digital circuitry, required.
• Demonstrated experience in the design and manufacture of electrical and electronic products, required.
• Demonstrated experience in the analysis of electronic or electro-mechanical components and systems, required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of printed circuit board layout, processing and testing techniques, required.
• Demonstrated experience creating, interpreting and modifying schematic drawings, required.
• Minimum of 6 to 8 years of related experience, required.
• Direct experience with embedded software, preferred.
• Direct experience with LabView, schematic capture, circuit simulation and other engineering software, preferred.
• Direct experience with creating new concepts and demonstrating feasibility, preferred.
• Direct experience with brushless DC motors and drives, airflow systems, sensors and rf circuits, preferred.
• Direct experience with Intellectual Property searches and submissions, preferred.
• Direct experience with FDA Requirements (including safety and regulatory testing) and their application within a medical product development environment, preferred.
