Position Details
The DSP Software Engineer is responsible for design and development of digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms within embedded software/firmware systems, in conjunction with hardware product development, to support the development of VHF/UHF two-way radio products.
The application of the principles and techniques of digital signal processing, RF waveform development, digital communications and networking, computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis
Requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, testing, maintenance of software applications used in advanced radio communication systems, and technical direction/guidance for other team members
Project deliverables for key project features or entire software releases.
Working closely with a multi-functional team to verify the operational performance requirements of the overall system.
Technical support of both internal and external customers.

Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in CS/CE/EE discipline with 5+ years of directly related experience is required.
5 years of experience in embedded software/firmware.
Digital Signal Processing (DSP) communications algorithm development/implementation
C and/or C++ in an embedded Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) environment on well-known industry microprocessors is required.
Ability to obtain security clearance is required.

Preferred Additional Skills:
Knowledge of CMM/CMMI
Knowledge or previous experience in radio technologies
