Oracle Applications Administrator/DBA has overall responsibility for the installation, implementation, management and monitoring of the Oracle E-Business Suite applications for the production ERP environment.


Job Description:
Designs, develops, modifies, debugs and evaluates programs for functional areas, including but not limited to finance, human resources, manufacturing and marketing. Analyzes existing programs or formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, prepares flowcharting, performs coding and tests/debugs programs. Develops conversion and system implementation plans. Prepares and obtains approval of system and programming documentation. Recommends changes in development, maintenance and system standards. Trains users in conversion and implementation of system. Note: May be internal or external, client-focused, working in conjunction with Professional Services and outsourcing functions. May include company-wide, web-enabled solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities
The Oracle Applications Administrator has overall responsibility for the installation, implementation, management and monitoring of the Oracle E-Business Suite applications for the production ERP environment. This position will work with applications developers to ensure the Oracle E-Business Suite applications and customizations are designed according to standards and perform optimally. Responsible for providing reliable, recoverable and scalable Oracle instances.

Perform instance cloning from source to target
Do research regarding and implementation of Oracle patches
Perform code migrations from development to production environments
Provide support for both developers and functional business leads
Perform troubleshooting and problem resolution
Open and support Oracle Service Requests (SRs) as they relate to problem resolution
Design backup and recovery strategy
Knowledge of Performance tuning of both the Oracle applications and databases

Experience: Requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience
Education: Bachelors Degree preferred and/or equivalent years of experience
Certifications:
Travel Requirements: 10 - 30%
