COLLECTION TECHNICIAN
(Phlebotomist)
The American Red Cross is currently seeking full-time Collection Technicians to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of six (6) months healthcare experience to perform donor history, venipuncture and promote good donor care during the collection of units of blood in accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). Must possess a professional and friendly demeanor. Some weekend work is also required. Additional qualifications include certified phlebotomists, certified nursing assistants; valid driver’s license and a friendly demeanor. Medical assistant/phlebotomy experience preferred. The ability to adapt to irregular hours and schedule changes is required. You must be able to work flexible hours, travel within our sponsor area and occasionally travel overnight. Qualifications:

High school graduate and Medical Assistant/Phlebotomy training
Customer service experience preferred
Professional and friendly demeanor
Effective communication and public relations skills
Ability to adapt to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes
Good manual dexterity
Good driving record as there may be assignments as driver
