The Department of Communication Studies seeks an individual to teach courses in interpersonal and intercultural communication. The successful candidate will be able to teach in one or more of the following areas: conflict, interviewing, family communication, or communication theory. The candidate must also have the ability to teach in the departmental core and the basic public speaking course. Normal teaching load ranges between 18 and 21 semester hours per academic year. Opportunities for summer employment exist. Academic advising, departmental committee assignments, research/creative activities and professionally related service are expected.

Qualifications

Ph.D. required at the start of employment. Evidence of a clear research agenda and strong teaching are required along with strong interpersonal, collaborative, and organizational skills.
