Badgerdog Literary Publishing seeks to hire the area’s most talented writers to s re thEir knowledge and passion with elDenta1, middle, and high school studen03, prkRiding support in Language Arts tG econ.Iically disadvantaged schools.

Workshops typically run for 8-10 weeks and classes meet once or twice per week. The positions provide excellent opportunities to learn teaching and publishing processes and to develop skills and experience as teachers and editors of student writing.

Qualifications: BA or BFA required. MFA or MA in Creative Writing (or candidacy) preferred;
Teaching experience, especially with children, preferred; Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.

Workshop Instructor Responsibilities:
•Attending the Badgerdog in-service meeting
•Leading a workshop, guiding students through the writing process toward the
goal of publication
•Attending a benchmark meeting scheduled at the midpoint of the workshop
•Serving as Section Editor for your workshop’s contribution to the anthology
•Planning a school-site reading for the young authors in your workshop
•Attending the community-wide reading and publication party
•Contributing two original lessons to be included in the curriculum guide
