We have been retained by our client in their search for a contract Service Desk Analyst. This is a long term contract opportunity opportunity. Located in Schenectady NY. Salary is $15.00/hour. Start date ASAP.



Hours are 8:30AM-5:00PM



Position summary:



Provide IT Support in scheduled phone support shifts
Work with users to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems
Log all incidents in the Remedy system
Provide incident detection and analysis, route and track service requests
Create documentation and training materials for coworkers on IT systems and procedures
Interacts with other departments such as Networking, Telecom and Production Support to resolve issues


Requirements:



Associate’s degree in Computer Science or Related field
2 years Help Desk/Call Center experience. Minimum 2 years phone support experience
Strong customer service and communication skills
Previous experience utilizing Remedy, Peregrine or similar trouble ticket application
Hands-on experience maintaining HP Compaq or similar desktop equipment in an enterprise environment
Ability to perform routine maintenance activities on desktops
Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows 2000 or XP
Work well in a team environment
Experience working in an ITIL Service Support environment is preferred
