Itron, a Global leader in products and services for the energy and water industries is in search for a Sr Product Manager to own and drive Itron's mobile computing solutions. Candidate must have experience with system level solutions and device expertise with handheld and mobile computing solutions. Create specific marketing plans and activities for those products. This opportunity also requires working with customers and Itron engineering, manufacturing and sales groups to maintain existing products and develop new solutions. Duties will also include identifying and managing 3rd party hardware and software vendors to enhance Itron's product offering.

Duties & Responsibilities
1. Ownership of the handheld and mobile computing product line
2. Manage hardware and software vendors and the integration of their products with our mobile solutions
3. Competitive analysis of related products and solutions.
5. Define and recommend product line strategies and product objectives.
6. Assist in the transition of moving clients from legacy products to new versions of the mobile solutions.
7. Present plans to senior management.
8. Maintain 3 year forecasts and business plans.
9. Play a key role as the business process expert and customer advocate for mobile solutions
10. Work closely with customers, prospects and marketing to define product requirements for new products.
11. Write and update product requirements documents for new products.
12. Work closely with engineers on detailed designs, functional specifications, project management, and testing.
13. Support Itron's North American sales team by giving product presentations to potential customers.
14. Develop various product-related documents including marketing collateral, help documentation, and instructional materials.
15. Provide support to our professional services team on customer implementations.
16. Present and promote Itron product offerings at trade shows and other industry events.


Experience: Requires a minimum of 5 years experience in product management or related experience
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
