Marketing Product Manager – Polymer Packaging
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for the development and attainment of the global product strategy and tactical plans resulting in achievement of business and financial goals. A particular focus will be on opportunity analysis and segment marketing programs for the regions.
• Develop global manufacturing/outsourcing relationships for polymer packaging products. This includes evaluation, selection, contract and negotiation with all strategic supply partners.
• Implement sourcing strategy specific to region/product and coordinate with local product development and suppliers order planning and routing.
• Implement global pricing strategies which complement the organizational goals and strategies.
• Conduct regional market research in the relevant marketplace.
• Input market information into the new product development process working with sales, creative business development and suppliers to ensure qualification and development of new and unique materials, additives and colors to drive exclusivity and price premiums in the market place. Subsequently, create the launch plans for new product releases to the regional marketplace delivered on time, to cost and to specified quality that meets customers/consumers demands/requirements.
• Work closely with sales and product development to set specifications for polymers and additives to be used in new applications. Provide material, additive and colorant knowledge to Sales force and customers.
• Provide technical support in solving product construction or material quality problems with products. Work closely with product marketing, sales, operations, material suppliers and management on business issues related to the product line.
• Collaborate with Marcom to ensure integrated product marketing programs are developed and implemented for retailers and factories, which are consistent with the global exterior product strategy and customer/market needs.
• Work with the corporate teams and third-party consultants as required to implement the global marketing plans.

Skills:
Job Qualifications:
• Minimum of ten (10) years marketing experience with strong management and negotiation skills are essential
• Minimum of three (3) years experience in the apparel or consumer products industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of the injection and blow molding processes
• Ability to manage complex situations and to take initiative and/or leadership on projects
• Excellent collaborative and organizational skills and rigorous attention to detail
• Exceptional strategic thinking; Strong creativity and innovation
• Effective planning skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task and set priorities
• Strong interpersonal skills with exceptional English oral and written communication skills are essential to clearly articulate all marketing strategies and tactics to internal management and all levels of our customers and suppliers. Spanish or Chinese is a plus.
• Ability to travel a minimum of 40%
