We are seeking a seasoned professional to determine individual risk acceptability, pricing, coverage, terms and conditions on risks of a complex technical nature in the area of Excess/Umbrella . You will be charged with achieving individual production and loss ratio goals within an assigned territory, handling policy maintenance items, reviewing endorsement requests and loss control reports, as well as placing reinsurance.

You will utilize your excellent communication and customer service skills to foster positive business relationships with agents and brokers. Limited travel to agency offices for audits, training and marketing visits will be part of your responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree preferred

Completion of general insurance courses such as CPCU, CIC, AU, ARM, CPIW, CWIS or ASLI is preferred

5+ years related experience (excess & surplus lines experience is desirable)

Knowledge of lines underwriting policies, insurance law, underwriting marketing principles, rating plans, treaty and facultative reinsurance , as well as regulatory issues

Demonstration of advanced negotiation skills
