Production Planner


To plan production and maintain appropriate inventory target levels for all UPC codes and to ensure high levels of customer service.

Relocation is not available for this position.


Location: New York (Melville, Long Island)


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Create and manages the master schedule to establish build requirements and delivery commitments to meet required shipping dates in accordance with sales forecasts and or customer orders.
•Plans and schedules supply orders to meet demand requirements taking lead times and customer requirements into consideration.
•Manage and adhere to transportation requirements set forth by Hain/Customer, to maximize cost on all in/out bound freight.
•Expedites operations and external suppliers to minimize material shortages that may impact the schedule.
•Responsible for on time delivery percentages (required and original prom).
•Responsible for the integrity of all production receipts entered into Prism.
•Assure production and scheduling reports are distributed on a weekly basis.
•Responsible for the upkeep and execution of the Marketing Forecast.
•Responsible for overall accuracy and maintenance of the Prism database as it relates to customer and production order due dates.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
•Bachelors/Masters degree from a 4 year college or university.
•Five years in a working MRP/DRP. APICS certification looked highly upon.
•Ability to use and process data utilizing MRP/DRP tools through an AS400.
•Ability to manipulate and process documents using Excel, Word, Access through a personal computer.
•Ability to read, analyze, and interpret everyday business terms.
•Ability to define problems, collect data and draw valid conclusions.
•Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
