Senior .NET Developer Job Description:
This Senior .NET position will be developing new and maintaining existing ASP.NET applications for a business unit within the company. The Senior .NET developer use their past technical experiences to enhance current web designs and processes in any future efforts. Each .NET team works on the Front-end and Middle tier while a dedicated Oracle team works along side us. This position help maintain and enhance existing applications, they will participate in the Full life cycle development as new projects are started.

In addition to development contributions, the Senior .NET Developer has the opportunity to significantly impact efforts to create policy, procedures, and the development environment for .NET. For example, automation of releases, code reviews, peer mentoring, Visual Source Safe Administration, establishment of coding standards and procedures.

Technical Skills:
• > 4 years overall web development experience utilizing the following technologies:
• ASP.NET
• VB.NET
• Java Script
• AJAX
• HTML
• CSS
• IIS
• Full life cycle devleopment
• Experience using Visual Source Safe
• Experience with VSTS / Microsoft Team Foundation Server Preferred
• Experience in full life cycle development
• Experience designing and developing Web Services
• Experience designing and developing web front end (GUI)
• Experience designing and developing middle tier
• Experience with ADO.NET
• Experience with multi-tier applications
• Experience and knowledge of Object Oriented Programming concepts
• Experience with SQL
• Background with Oracle and PL/SQL a plus
• Documentation experience
• 4 year degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent experience
Soft Skills:
• Able to work independently and with team members (brainstorming, team building activities, helping others to resolve issues, etc.).
• Position will interact with customer groups as well as with several other teams. The candidate must be able to articulate thoughts clearly in email and verbally. Ability to communicate with several audiences is key - using clear/user-friendly terminology (i.e. email, phone, meetings). Encourages inter department communications.
• Ability to learn and adhere to department standards for design, development and quality control.
• Ability to recognize the need for improvement in existing processes/applications, present solutions, and implementation plan to team with oversight of supervisor.
• Leadership skills are a big plus; Lead small team projects.
