One of New York City’s largest and most comprehensive social services agencies, we house over 700 people daily, and serve more nearly 6,000 individuals annually. We operate 24 programs in 18 locations throughout New York City, including outreach programs, residential treatment programs for mental illness and substance abuse, community residences, SROs and shelters. With over 450 full-time and part-time staff, BRC operates 24/7/365.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan and participate in recreational activities in house and within the community; escort residents to various entitlements appointments; facilitate workshops related to life skills; assist with the scheduling of events and weekly social planning of groups; attend various interdisciplinary meetings in house and in the community (hospitals, treatment facilities, day treatment, etc.) Document progress notes weekly; obtain toxicology screenings; drive residents to detox and rehab facilities. Related duties as assigned.
Skills:
CASAC or BA preferred, Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred, experience working with MICA population and experience in facilitating groups, valid driver’s license, computer skills, ability to interact with all levels of staff.
