Currently, Chubb is seeking a Tax Accountant II to join its Warren, NJ team.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF JOB:

Coordinate the various phases of the 1099 process. The individual will work with IT and the various source systems to accurately and timely file the 1099’s, B-Notices and Penalty phase of the 1099 process. Prepare federal and state tax returns, extensions and estimates. Assist in the preparation of Sales & Use tax returns. Respond to inquiries/requests from internal/external customers. Compile information for state audits and respond to auditors inquiries. Participate in special projects as they arise. This position will report to a supervisor in the compliance area.


Requirements
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
•A minimum 2 years tax or accounting experience
•Requires strong analytical, research, documentation and organizational skills
•Effective oral and written communication skills
•Ability to effectively work on several projects concurrently
•Excellent time management skills
•Good leadership skills
•Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
•Ability to work overtime during peak periods
