JOB DESCRIPTION:
Education
Bachelor''s Degree in Accounting with a GPA of 3.0 or above overall and in major, 1 - 3 years of experience, Prior insurance experience a plus.
Position Description
The Property & Casualty reporting area within the Accounting Department is responsible for preparing and filing the statutory financial statements for Chubb''s US Property & Casualty insurance subsidiaries. These filings are performed on a quarterly basis and other supplemental financial/regulatory filings are due at various other times throughout the year. This position is primarily responsible for various aspects of the statutory financial reporting process for several companies including, the financial statement preparation, analyze financial results and investigate significant fluctuations or unusual results. In addition to the financial statements, prepare various other financial related schedules and reports. Investigate and respond to requests/inquiries from management and other internal/external users of financial information. Maintain regulatory compliance for approximately ten states to ensure that Chubb''s Property and Casualty insurance companies meet all necessary filing requirements and reporting regulations. Participate in special projects as they relate to the reporting function.

Competencies/Technical Skills
Requires very strong accounting, analytical, research, documentation and communication skills; strong organizational skills; ability to plan, prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a timely and effective manner; working knowledge and understanding of the Microsoft Suite, ability to learn and effectively utilize FOCUS, financial statement preparation software and the PeopleSoft General Ledger System.
