Currently, Chubb is seeking an Accountant II for the Warren, NJ office.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Maintains the PeopleSoft general ledger and prepares and analyzes the financial statements for The Chubb Corporation and other corporate entities. Responds to ad hoc requests for financial information and participates on special projects such as preparation of financial schedules for debt offerings. Prepares or assists in the preparation of various financial statements and schedules for management and shareholders, including schedules for the annual SEC Form 10-K filing, including parent company only financials and footnotes for inclusion in the annual report. Prepares and analyzes the consolidated statement of cash flows.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a GPA of 3.0 or above overall and in major.
Competencies / Technical Skills
1-2 years of accounting experience. Strong accounting and analytical skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required and PeopleSoft General Ledger skills a plus. Good problem-solving and documentation skills. Good organizational skills and ability to effectively work on several projects concurrently. Ability to work independently. Effective oral and written communication skills required.
