A large Denver based company is seeking a SEC accounting specialist. This role will assist in the technical accounting research of GAAP, SEC and other accounting issues.

Coordinate research projects with other functional area employees. Assist with the preparation of financial statements, footnotes, MD&A and other disclosures in the Company's public filing documents.

Coordinate activities with internal and external auditors and prepare financial information for annual reports and regulatory agency disclosures. Work directly with systems coordinator to increase or refine automation of cash flow process and preparation, and enhance budget to actual comparison in conjunction with business planning. Review and evaluate work to ensure quality, timeliness and adherence to policies and procedures. Assist in special projects as necessary.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
The SEC accounting specialist will need a Bachelors degree in Accounting and 5 plus years experience in a similar role. Accreditations such as CPA are also preferred. Public accounting experience is required.
