The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) was established in 1984 as a private, nonprofit 501c(3) organization with a mission to help prevent child abduction and sexual exploitation; help find missing children; and assist victims of child abduction and sexual exploitation, their families, and the professionals who serve them.

NCMEC seeks an individual who will be responsible answering calls to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children’s (NCMEC) 24-hour Hotline and accurately and expeditiously extracting and entering pertinent information while making sound judgment calls that will aid in the location, recovery, and reunification of missing children.

This position requires an Associates degree in Human Services, Criminal Justice, or related field or an equivalent degree and/or work experience combination. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Skills:
This position also requires an individual with excellent verbal, written, and telephone communication skills. The individual should have knowledge of database and word processing programs and applications, and basic familiarity of Word Web Wide and Internet applications. This individual must also have the ability to work flexible hours and regular weekend shifts.
