Administers the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Operations and Maintenance (O&M) program for our client’s country offices in Latin America and the Caribbean. Develops standards, implements and conducts O&M programs. Oversees the performance of operations and maintenance by local administrative officers and building managers, while providing guidance and support. Directs the performance of facility condition assessments and recommends improvements and repairs. Prepares cost estimates and annual budget requests.

Personnel One, Inc. is an affiliate of Polinger Shannon & Luchs Company and we have been providing facility support staff to the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for approximately 30 years. Currently we have 62 staff members at IDB.

The Country Office Operations & Maintenance Coordinator job is a new facility manager/project manager creation. IDB has a 1.5 million square foot headquarters at 1300 New York Avenue, NW, and that is where employment in job will principally be. IDB has 28 country offices totaling approximately 400,000 square feet, which range in size from 6,000 s.f. leased shell space to 30,000 s.f. free-standing/multiple story office buildings. The offices are throughout Central and South America and the Caribbean. We forecast that there might be 8 trips per year of 3-7 days duration. All travel arrangements are made through IDB and includes a per diem for meals and incidental expenses

Skills:
BA/BS Degree in Facilities Management, Business, Engineering or equivalent. Three (3) to seven (7) years commercial building operations and maintenance/MEP related experience including project management and/or facilities management experience. Working knowledge of US construction codes is essential. Excellent spoken and written English and Spanish communications skills are essential. Must be able to transmit ideas and information in written and oral forms in a clear, concise and effective manner. Strong interpersonal skills are a must as well as ability to deal with customers in a courteous and professional manner. MS Word, Excel and Project required. Ability to effectively prioritize workload, manage multiple tasks concurrently and pay meticulous attention to details. Strong analytical skills, problem solving ability and coordination of complex projects are essential.
