Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses with emphases in gerontology and family services/studies. Course emphases may include aging and the family, family and professional group processes, family relations, family theories, disadvantaged families, family crises, families and addictions, and other appropriate Family and Consumer Sciences courses. Coordinate and provide leadership for the interdisciplinary Master of Arts in Gerontology program. In addition, conduct research/scholarly activities, and provide service to the university, the larger community, and the profession.

Qualifications: Earned doctorate with emphasis in gerontology, family studies, or related Family and Consumer Sciences field required by position start date. Evidence of successful higher education teaching, scholarly activities, and professional service. Affiliations with professional organizations such as the National Council on Family Relations, the Association of Gerontology in Higher Education, and the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences are desirable.
