Job Responsibilities:
1) Direct the operations of the chemistry and microbiology laboratories
2) Investigate and resolve raw material and product issues
3) Direct the stability-testing program
4) Lead the laboratory in the chemical and microbiological testing of raw materials, bulk product and finished product in accordance with internal procedures and all applicable governmental regulations
5) Oversee training programs for all department personnel
6) Develop and maintain all departmental procedures and Standard Operating Procedures
7) Participate as member of the Audit Team
8) Provide summaries on quality performance
9) Assist other departments as needed to ensure the quality of products produced meet customer expectations
10) Assist other departments in GMP training (as required)
11) Perform other related duties as required

Job Requirements:
1) Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and/or Biology
2) Minimum 7 years of experience managing a chemistry laboratory, testing cosmetic products and over-the-counter drugs
3) Strong knowledge of FDA regulatory requirements pertaining to over-the-counter drugs
4) Excellent analytical skills and problem solving skills
5) Strong technical skills
6) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
7) Ability to manage multiple priorities
8) Ability to lead people and get results through others
