Director of Act 101 Program (Regular Full-time)

General Summary:
Plan, organize, develop, coordinate, assess, and provide supervision for the Act 101 Program and other assigned duties.
Job Specifications:
Master's degree and minimum three years experience in programs for special populations; experience with student services at the college level; experience in grant proposal writing and grant administration preferred; community college experience preferred.
Job Duties:
1. Serve as director of the Act 101 program and other assigned grant programs to plan, organize, supervise and modify the goals of the Act 101 grant; prepare and administer the Act 101 budget. Implement the objectives of the Act 101 Grant.
2. Design, develop, organize and direct the Pre-College and Bridge Programs and establish goals.
3. Coordinate reports, proposals and data required by local, state, and federal agencies.
4. Consult with faculty and administration in developing appropriate curricular offerings and components of instruction.
5. Cooperate and consult with the Admissions Office in recruitment and selection of disadvantaged students; collaborate with Financial Aid Office to provide the most appropriate financial aid assistance for Act 101 students.
6. Coordinate the recruitment and selection of faculty and staff for employment from the Act 101 budget.
7. Monitor career development, orientation, advisement and psychological counseling for Act 101 students.
8. Coordinate efforts of grant program counselors for tracking student progress, outreach to D and F students, and other Act 101 student retention programs.
9. Provide materials and presentations to familiarize faculty and staff with Act 101 program; solicit support and cooperation from the College community and appropriate leaders on behalf of students.
10. Analyze impediments to retention for Act 101 students, including academic, financial, and personal, and provide appropriate assistance and intervention.
11. Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of student interactions via databases utilized by the Act 101 grant.
12. Continually evaluate existing procedures and develop means to improve all aspects of services delivery.
13. Communicate with other Act 101 program directors across the state for the purpose of program improvement and/or sharing successful procedures.
14. Work with Act 101 State-wide Directors Association and attend meetings and conferences to keep abreast of new program developments and committee activities.
15. Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
