We have an outstanding opportunity for a Process Engineer in our Manufacturing Research Center. Process Engineers in the Research Center develop and improve printed circuit board (PCB) and electro-mechanical assembly processes in order to continually improve our manufacturing quality, cost and throughput. They also develop and validate the manufacturing processes used to build our newest products, and define the standards that enable best practices in our global assembly operations.
This position requires you to work closely with our product development teams as well as with suppliers of our manufacturing equipment and raw materials. You will also work with other process engineers in our global assembly plants.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering with a strong Mechanical Engineering component and at least a 3.0 GPA
- 4 or more years of full-time PCB Assembly Manufacturing Engineering experience
- Hands-on working knowledge of SMT, wave soldering, axial and radial insertion
- Strong understanding of discrete circuitry and physics fundamentals; power electronics experience is a plus
- Outstanding communication skills
- Enjoy working in teams and love a challenge
- Hands-on attitude, a strong work ethic and flexibility
- Highly inquisitive and skillful at solving problems with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to travel up to 25%
