Defines, schedules, supervises, and executes complex development projects, including laboratory, pilot, and full scale test work ensuring technical accuracy.
Writes technical reports on development projects and testing results and makes presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Supervises and trains lower level engineering personnel on assigned projects ensuring adherence to established safety standards and regulations. Reviews reports of lower level engineering personnel for accuracy of technical content, completeness and format.
Participates in new idea generation and development of concepts for new R&D projects and technologies.
Knowledge & Skills:
B.S. degree in one of the engineering disciplines preferred with considerable experience in hands-on process operation and some supervisory experience.
Travels up to 30% of the time (mostly to job sites)
Ability to conduct complex bench and pilot tests, perform technical calculations and research data.
Proven organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects.
Requires excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Must be proficient in the use of the personal computer using company standard software.
