Our client is a consulting engineering firm founded in 1979. The company offers engineering, surveying, planning, geoscience and environmental services. They employ over 200 employees in 5 offices throughout California and Oregon.

Job Responsibilities:
1) Analyze the soil samples to determine their composition and overall ability to support the type of development proposed
2) Research information, write reports and make proposals based on data collected
3) Determine the qualities of the soil prior to any building or construction occurs on the site
4) Work closely with soil scientists, laboratory workers and technicians to evaluate the various components of the soil
5) Collaborate with various other engineers and construction staff including structural engineers, architects and landscapers
6) Understand and use several different computer programs, soil analysis software and databases as required

Job Requirements:
1) Degree (4 year)
2) P. Geotechnical Engineer (GE) license
3) Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical field
4) 5 years of experience in professional project management preferred
5) Ability to share technical information in an understandable way
6) Ability to work with other multi-disciplinary team members
7) Excellent communication skills
