Title: Acquisition Editor – Online Medical Communities
Location: Newton, Massachusetts
Company Overview: A young, fast-growing, healthcare communications company providing concise, interactive content to targeted communities of clinicians through its groundbreaking web and mobile platform. Supporting multiple communities of clinicians and reporting to Community Publishers, Acquisition Editors are responsible for securing physicians as presenters and capturing and delivering their content for distribution on web and mobile.

Key Responsibilities:
• Work directly with Community Publishers and Physician Community Leaders to identify acquisition strategy, topics and targeted clinical experts.
• Work collaboratively with the in-house production team to ensure content is delivered in appropriate formats.
• Work with Business Development and Sales to ensure sponsor expectations are met through acquisitions.

Skills and Experience:
• 3-5 years content acquisition experience.
• Demonstrated ability to “sell” to busy clinicians.
• Track record of success.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Some background in medicine preferred.
