Our client in Clifton NJ requires a Chief Electrical Engineer/ Sr. Electrical Engineer to head their electrical department and be a part of their firm’s Management Team.

If you have 10-15 years experience with midsized to large Engineering Firms working with power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, security systems and voice/data for new and existing commercial, educational and pharmaceutical buildings.

Plus a commanding knowledge of NEC and strong PC skills. With experience in engineering level cost estimation, feasibility reports, specification writing and project management.

Do you also have the ability to keep the multiple members of the project team moving and meet demanding deadlines? The project team includes project electrical engineers and drafters (both in house and sub-consultants).

Preparation of proposals and agreements will be a significant part of job duties. Control project time costs keeping accurate track of time expended and additional services. The ideal candidate would most likely have worked on many projects, not necessarily one large project or a high-profile project.

SALARY:
$80,000 -$120,000/yr ; Commensurate with experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Interface with clients and attend meetings
• Assist in the preparation of proposals
• Lead designs of low voltage and medium voltage electrical distribution systems
• Perform required calculations, code analysis, design and equipment selection
• Prepare field notes, feasibility studies, cost analysis, and specifications
• Quality Assurance
• Develop new Design Standards and improve existing ones
• Work with a multi-discipline team of design professionals, architects and owners

SKILLS:

REQUIRED:
• 10-15 yrs Design Experience
• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Professional Engineering Licensure in (NJ and NY)
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong writing skills
• Excellent communication skills for project coordination with clients
• Demonstrated ability to satisfy clients
• Project management and design experience
• PC Skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point

PREFERRED/NOT NECESSARY:
• Experience with Autocad;
• Masters degree in Electrical Engineering.
