Position Details
The chosen candidate will lead development of Tactical Military Communications Systems from initial concepts through execution and delivery with focus on tactical voice and data communications integration into larger systems and platforms.
Responsibilities Included:
Include technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost, schedule, and risk analysis for the total system.
Performance of detailed design and execution from concept through design, fabrication, test, installation, and operation.
Project management to ensure the conversion of customer requirements, including informal requirements, into solutions that balance the technical, schedule and cost constraints.
Work directly with customers, sales team, program management, and product engineering teams.
Be highly motivated, a self starter, and be able to operate with little supervision in diverse environments
System design based on customer hardware and software specifications.
Risk / benefit analysis and Trade Studies
Cost estimation for labor and materials
Proposal technical writing
Directly supervise small technical team to common program goals.
Travel to International locations.

Qualifications
BSEE/BSCE and 10+ years of experience or Masters Degree and 8+ years of experience are required.
Expert in Tactical Radio Communications, Infrastructure and Systems is essential in this role.
Experience in one or more of the following Technical Areas:
Military Tactical Radio System Architectures (HF, VHF, UHF, Satcom)
Platform Integration Design for Electronics Systems (Vehicular, Aircraft,
Shipboard)
Preferred Additional Skills:
International Travel Experience
Data Communications Interfaces
Internet protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, PPP), IPSec, QoS, Wireless (802.11, 802.16)
Computer communication interfaces (RS-232, RS-422, RS-485)
Communications standards (ATM, Frame Relay, T1/E1)
