Under the supervision of the Program Director, coordinates substance abuse treatment services for an Adult Residential population. Directs, supervises and monitors counselors in implementing treatment services in an Adult Community Residence.

Specific Responsibilities

•In conjunction with the Program Director, plans, directs, and coordinates all treatment services.

•Counsels clients individually and in group sessions to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life in recovery and making changes.

•Participates in case conferences to assess client progress; where needed makes recommendations for changes in treatment planning and advancement to the next treatment level.

•Supervises staff in scheduling all client treatment activities; assigns caseloads; provides training; monitors and evaluates counselors in the performance of their duties (assessments, treatment planning, counseling and all other clinical activities).

•In cooperation with the Program Director, assesses staff development and training needs. Responsible for staff compliance with policies and procedures regarding record keeping and HIPPA laws.

Skills:
•CASAC credential required (will not consider CASAC-T).

•STRONGLY prefer spanish, bilingual language skills.

•Ability to perform under clinical and administrative pressure.

•Two years experience supervising counseling staff in a substance abuse setting.

•Prior experience working with women and children preferred.

•Good interpersonal skills, and oral and written communication skills required.

•Knowledge of Therapeutic Community practices; familiarity with the12 Step approach.

•Must meet requirements for the completion of a security clearance.
