Our client is a leading North American company that provides public and private sectors with road construction, paving, road rehabilitation, engineering construction, waste management and recycling services.

Job Responsibilities:
1) Lead the design and delivery of complex highway projects
2) Prepare roadway geometric design, grading design as well as channelization layouts and reports
3) Develop plans, specifications, and estimates
4) Participate in client relationship building and business development as the company increases its project base
5) Attend pre-construction meetings with clients as well as invite appropriate parties (i.e. Superintendent, coordinators, divisional managers, owners, etc.)
6) Ensure site personnel are performing safety orientations, safety talks, site inspections, and safety meetings (as required)
7) Review documentation as well as distribute and file it (as necessary)
8) Ensure all incidents are reported to Safety Officer and incident reports are completed
9) Schedule project start up meetings with Superintendent and divisional managers

Job Requirements:
1) BS in Civil Engineering
2) P. Eng. license
3) 5+ years of experience in constructing roads and infrastructure
4) Expertise in handling large highway, bridge, and municipal construction projects from concept to completion
5) Ability to roll up the sleeves and get things done
6) Superb knowledge of blueprint reading/interpretation
7) Excellent communication and people-management skills
8) Aggressive and personable individual
