EnerSearch Group is currently looking for a Civil Designer for our prestigious client in Ontario.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Civil department within MEG provides engineering, drafting and design expertise in support of project work, with the goal of providing cost-effective support to projects. Civil department is specifically responsible for the following:
• Provision of civil engineering related to the design and construction of oil and gas production and processing facilities.
• Manual and CAD drafting to provide design and construction drawings.
• Control of documents and drawings related to projects.
• Preparation, maintenance and updating of specifications and standards.
• Preparation, maintenance and updating of procedures.

Reporting to the Supervisor of the Civil department, the Senior Civil Designer is responsible for architectural/civil designing and CAD drafting including layouts and building design.
1. Architectural and civil designing and manual/CAD drafting.
2. Site development.
3. Structural steel layout and details.
4. Concrete foundation design, piling layout and schedule.
5. Architectural building design.

Requirements:
The Civil Designer deals with the Managers and Discipline Leads in the areas of designing and drafting as assigned by the Supervisor of the Civil department. Working as the Lead Senior or Principal Civil Designer, assisting more junior civil drafting staff is part of this position.
The position requires B.Sc. in Civil Engineering. Training as an AutoCAD/Microstation operator and upgrade training for Rebis , Smart Plant 3D, PDS , along with 5+ years in the area of Oil and Gas plant projects involving architectural/civil design and CAD drafting.
