Responsibilities:

Primarily responsible for generation of detailed and accurate electrical construction drawings for assigned projects.
Prepare electrical design development document packages for assigned projects, in conjunction with project engineer.
Check project code compliance with client, code and construction requirements.
Quality and coordination of electrical construction drawings for assigned projects.
Perform specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
Provide solutions to problems relating to drawing documentation.
Aid in problem solving as related to assigned projects, in conjunction with project engineer.
Assist in contractor submittal review procedures, in conjunction with project engineer.
Meet established project parameters, including budget, schedule, quality.
Meet client project expectations.
Perform more complex engineering project work requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks.

Qualifications:

Registered professional engineer or has the credentials necessary to become a registered engineer (a degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited school.)
Minimum 5+ plus years of experience in lighting, power distribution and communication systems.
Professional Engineering license required.
Minimum 5 years experience in electrical technical drafting/design and detailing in the generation of complete design development and construction drawing packages.
Proficient computer skills in Auto CAD and Microsoft Office programs. services to serve both our own retail banners and thousands of independent retailers.
Understanding of commercial power and lighting systems is essential.
Knowledge of current building codes, materials and costs is needed.
Experience in commercial projects is required; experience in supermarket/restaurant/retail projects is preferred.
A working knowledge of site planning, civil, structural, architectural, and building engineering is needed.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD 2006 is essential; additional experience in Microstation is preferred.
Posses understanding of architecture and construction industry practices.
Strong oral and written communications skills a must.
