This position will support ongoing efforts in the design, development, and integration of real-time simulation computer systems and their electronic interfaces for supporting advanced weapon system's hardware-in-the-loop testing. Candidates should have a broad technical background and interest in FPGA's, CPLD's, RF, & IR simulators, and other related electrical engineering topics. This role will also contribute to the development of software routines for testing printed circuit boards in stand alone and integrated system configurations.
Basic Qualifications
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline. Candidate must be a U.S. citizen and be a resident of the Fort Walton Beach, FL area or willing to move to the Fort Walton area. Candidates must have 1+ years of applicable experience in real-time simulations, FPGA's, CPLD's, and relevant software languages (prefer C or C++).
Other Qualifications
Candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas are desired: 1. Design and test capabilities include RF and IR simulator experience from the printed circuit board and component level to the host computer and control system level and use of associated tools.2. Design, development, and testing experience with high-speed Infrared Scene Projector (IRSP) systems and their associated hardware/software subsystems and associated design and test tools.3. System and subsystem mechanical/electronic physical interface design and integration.
