Position Description
Candidate will develop high-fidelity non-linear helicopter flight dynamics models. Simulation Team members are responsible for the development of rotor and airframe aerodynamic modules, defining kinematics and mass properties, developing the flight control module, and simulation verification and validation. Duties also include integrating models with simulator hardware, conducting simulated flight test programs, and conducting analyses related to handling qualities/flight controls and performance characteristics.

Basic Qualifications
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in either Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering. Candidate must also be a U.S. Citizen, and must be a resident of the Huntsville, AL area or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, Alabama, area. Candidate must be able to obtain a Classified Security Clearance.

Other Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have 2-6 years experience in aircraft simulation development, a Masters Degree in either Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, and a strong background in aerodynamics. Motivated students working on a graduate degree and recent grads are also encouraged to apply. Attributes desired are: a fundamental background in dynamics, writing and debugging computer code, and numerical methods; and an interest in control systems.

Security Requirements
Candidate must be able to obtain a Classified Security Clearance.
