Monitor, train, and strengthen Local Agencies (LAs) in Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington Counties, Oregon, and Clark County, Washington. Provide trouble-shooting and technical support. Ensure contract compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities

Monitor Local Agencies to ensure compliance with Oregon Food Bank (OFB), United States Department of Agriculture, and Americas Second Harvest standards. Ensure accurate and current documentation is maintained.
Provide technical assistance and/or training to Local Agencies on subjects such as food safety, distribution and inventory practices, grant opportunities, Civil Rights, new agency orientation, OFB reporting forms, etc.
Coordinate with other OFB departments to ensure safe, timely and equitable distribution of food to Local Agencies. Increase access to services by underserved and/or specialized communities (e.g. children, immigrants, seniors, etc.)
Represent OFB in Local Agency and community meetings. Facilitate communication between Local Agencies, other community organizations and low income people regarding available community resources.
Develop partnerships with community resource organizations, such as OSU Extension Service or community gardening programs, to support alternative approaches to improve food security.
Support OFB Advocacy Department goals and objectives regarding root causes of hunger. Support Food Stamp outreach activities.
Monitor the collection of service statistics and analyze trends in service provision.
Coordinate and support quarterly and annual meetings of Local Agencies.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills:
Qualifications
Bachelors degree and two years experience in program coordination or community education. Additional education may be substitued for experience, and educational qualifications may be waived depending on work history.
Experience working with and supervising volunteers from diverse socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds and of all ages.
Experience in community organizing, group facilitation, or community development preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office environment (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook) and standard office equipment.
Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail, ability to handle interruptions, maintain focus on tasks and produce accurate work.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to make presentations and develop reports that may include technical information.
Strong problem solving skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
