AIG United Guaranty has an opportunity for a Portfolio Risk Analyst. The position is located in Greensboro, NC.
Domestic Residential Group (DRG) Risk Analyst supports Risk Management department in identification and monitoring of risk issues and opportunities associated with United Guaranty's portfolio and domestic market risk. This is accomplished by monitoring, measuring, and providing quantitative and qualitative analysis of portfolio segment, market, and lender risk performance and composition.
Position Requirements:
?Proficiency with SAS statistical software or similar statistical software.
?Responsible for the regular and timely evaluation of United Guaranty's (UG's) domestic residential portfolio. Monitor and measure the performance of UG's National Account customers, portfolio segments, and high-risk products. Report findings and recommendations in a timely, accurate and thorough manner.
?Support risk management initiatives by monitoring regional, state, and account performance as coordinated by the Credit Risk management team. Provide timely, accurate, and complete risk and market information to appropriate personnel.
?Provide guidance on the utilization and nuances of UG's portfolio data and performance to end-users of risk management reports.
?Partner with other risk and reporting personnel in collaborating on cross functional data and analysis needs.
?Create professional and accurate lender portfolio analysis reports and other risk management presentations as needed.
?Assist in identifying market risk and opportunities by reviewing economic/market data, identifying economic trends that impact housing markets and residential finance and putting into context of United Guaranty's portfolio composition. This will be accomplished by making effective use of internal and external studies, reports, and analytic tools.
?Develop and maintain expertise relative to United Guaranty's data management processes, data retrieval systems, reporting tools, production systems, and data nuances for compliance only and insured loan data.
Qualifications:
?Bachelors degree in economics, statistics, or mathematics AND three or more years portfolio risk management or similar experience.
?High proficiency in use of spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel. Highly developed analytical skills.
