Position Details
Our client’s Mechanical Systems organization for engineers with creativity, drive, and a desire to see their ideas become reality has positions available for lead engineers, as well as individual contributors on both commercial and military programs. Working on or leading an inter-disciplinary team, the selected candidates will perform analysis of rolling element/journal bearings, contacting carbon seals, pumps and other components for engine bearing compartments and lubrication systems. These engineers will also develop and exercise analytical fluid dynamics models to optimize engine lubrication system.
Engineers will perform lubrication system analysis and integration between the lubrication system, the lubricated components, secondary flow system and thermal management system.
Analysis will be performed using Easy5.
Primary focus will be GTF product system analysis and integration, with possible other work on military programs.
Individual will work with CIPT's and engine programs, and will interface with ASDI.
Responsibilities will include design and modeling of the lubrication system, specification of system components, and system integration with other engine subsystems.

Qualifications
B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, with fluid mechanics and heat transfer coursework
5 – 10 years of professional experience is required.
Programming Experience (language is flexible) - FORTRAN is preferred but not required.
