Job Description: 
The Senior Electrical Engineer position is a senior level design engineering and management position.
The successful candidate must have extensive experience in the design and construction of a variety of project types (higher education, medical facilities, large-scale commercial/industrial, federal/defense projects, etc.), as well as management and client relations experience. 
The candidate must be able to work successfully in a multi-office, multi-disciplined consulting engineering environment.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Organizational Leadership
Collaborates with market leader to make necessary resources available to discipline team.
Motivates discipline team to achieve individual potential and sector objectives.
Directly supervises discipline team members.
Project Performance (Quality, Schedule and Budget Management)
Performs work involving the application of all conventional aspects of electrical engineering.
Exercises judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial design of electrical projects.
Conceptualizes the initial electrical design approach for major phases of large facility projects, or has overall responsibility for the electrical engineering work on a project of limited scope.
Prepare plans and specifications, set schedules, conduct or coordinate electrical engineering work associated with assigned projects.
Supervises the design and ongoing progress of a project, including the coordination of the project with city, state, and county officials, and other outside agencies.
Resolves a variety of complex problems (i.e. conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements).
Serves as a liaison between clients and agencies, subcontractors, and design teams.
Reviews plans and prepares or reviews technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates.
Participates in contract bidding and administration; observes project action on site.
Supervises the work of technical support personnel assigned to the project.
Adheres to company and client safety requirements.
Business Development
Leads business development activities to develop discipline in new market, and as requested by market leaders and industry practices.
Workforce Development
Leads recruiting activities to develop discipline team capacity and capabilities.
Mentors discipline team members to develop technical capabilities and reach career path goals.
Critical Reporting/Working Relationships
This position will require strong interpersonal, communication and time management skills, as well as demonstrate the ability to function in a team environment.  
Job Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
Minimum of 15 years of progressive work experience in the electrical engineering field.
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) required.
Must be enthusiastic for your profession and possess the ability to communicate that enthusiasm to clients and coworkers.
Electrical Engineering experience related to healthcare, large commercial/industrial, higher education, or federal projects a plus.
Arc Flash Hazard and building commissioning experience a plus.
Display high level of initiative and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and/or initiatives with clear expectations and timelines.
Ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels in the organization in a team environment.
Proficient with the use of MS Office and AutoCAD.
Some travel.
