Click Here to Apply OnlineTHE POSITION: Under the direct supervision of the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources department of TNDC. This is a fixed duration position. Once hired, the HR Assistant will provide the HR Department with Administrative support for a temporary period of time.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist with posting job announcements for vacant positions, log incoming resumes, track job vacancies and assist with hiring process.
2. Process new employee paperwork and assist in orientation sessions.
3. Maintain adequate supply of all HR related forms, make new orders when necessary, process invoices and revise in-house forms as needed.
4. Assist with the maintenance of staff driving records.
5. Assist with processing benefit bills, workers compensation reporting and administration, EDD and provide information to satisfy with reporting requirements.
6. Visit TNDC work sites to ensure compliance with Federal and State posting requirements.
7. Enter TNDC employee data into People-Trak database.
8. File and organize personnel folders and files.
9. Complete information requests for income and employment verification.
10. Process wage garnishment orders.
11. Assist with the Focal point evaluation process.
12. Assist in projects for the Human Resources department (as needed).
13. Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Two-year associate degree with emphasis in Human Resources Management and/or two years work experience in the Human Resources field.
• Proficiency in MS Office including ability to create spreadsheets and perform query functions.
• Experience with or capacity for basic database work.
