Easter Seals Bay Area's home-based Early Intervention Programs provide comprehensive in-home services to children with developmental delays, birth to three years. We use a family-centered approach to address both the child's educational and therapeutic needs, and provide parent education and support. Easter Seals has a strong regional and national reputation for excellence and national dedication to the development of programs and services for individuals living with disabilities. The organization has entered a period of expanded vision and planned growth. This is an exciting time to join a dynamic team of people who are passionate about their work. We have an immediate opening for a full-time (37.5 hours/week) Early Interventionist for our program serving families in Santa Clara County. Bilingual English/Spanish is very desirable.

Primary job responsibilities include: Provide parent education and specific intervention activities, and monitor development of children birth to three years in home settings. Assess each child's development, reporting home visit observations and formal assessments and progress reports semi-annually. Function as liaison between Early Intervention Program, families, San Andreas Regional Center, and other community agencies This program offers a trans-disciplinary approach and opportunities for cross-training, working with experienced PTs, OTs, S-LPs and other infant educators. Ongoing training is provided, however please note that only experienced, qualified applicants will be considered. Education: Bachelor's degree in child development, nursing, special education, early childhood special education, pediatric therapy, social work or related field; master's degree is preferred.

Experience: Minimum of two years of related professional experience working with infants/toddlers with developmental delays. Other requirements: * Must have valid driver's license, reliable personal transportation and a clean driving record. * Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. * Familiar with the field of early intervention, and knowledgeable of typical and atypical child development * Knowledgeable about other community resources and agencies that serve children.
