Duties/Responsibilities: Watershed Concepts (a division of HSMM AECOM) is searching for an Engineer III to work in the exciting fields of hydrologic and hydraulics modeling, stream restoration and stormwater management. The person will help provide technical guidance and direction for other engineers, GIS specialists, and engineering technicians. Independently evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications. Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position. Job Duties: Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for floodplain mapping projects, including coastal modeling. Experience in 2D and unsteady state modeling a plus Peform geomorphic assessment and classification, restoration/concept plan development, and construction plan and bid document preparation. Permitting, performing construction administration and project monitoring duties Design of stormwater best management practices and implement Low Impact Development techniques as necessary to meet the overall goals of a project Geomorphic assessment and classification, restoration/concept plan development, and construction plan and bid document preparation Job Requirements: B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering  7 years of experience in H&H modeling, FEMA floodplain mapping, stream restoration/natural systems design, and stormwater management projects Experience with HEC-1, HEC-HMS, HEC-2, HEC-RAS required, NWS DAMBRK, FESWN or SWMM, and MIKE21, FLO-2D a plus  Training in Natural Systems Design/Stream Restoration Proficient in complex hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, sediment transport analysis  Excellent quantitative analytical skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of CADD programs (MicroStation or AutoCAD - Geopak a plus) Ability to work well with clients and internal staff  Registered Professional Engineer Knowledge of GIS technology  Familiar with Federal, State and local permitting requirements EEO M/F/D/V CB
