The Transformer Specialist will serve as a resource for Transformer segment repairs: manage technicians, plan, execute and fulfill operational measurements. *Conduct resource planning for onsite and in-shop work. *Assist Regional Commercial Team, Regional Sales Managers, Comm Op's and Account Managers by providing labor hour estimates, material estimates and technical review of customer specifications. *Provide complete job planning including routers, bar charts, detailed instructions, drawing packages and material requirements for all transformer jobs. *Create and update detailed schedules for all transformer jobs. *Establish effective relationships with customers and other GE functions and departments. *Embrace, utilize and promote the Quality process. *Drive productivity through the development of process improvements, quality improvements and cost/cycle reduction. Qualifications *Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Desired *Advanced technical degree. *Power Transformer service repair experience. *Commitment to Environment Health & Safety. *Green belt / Black belt, Quality program certified (GE employee only). *Experience managing direct reports in a union environment. *Proficient with Microsoft and CAD programs. *Proven leadership capabilities. *Strong verbal and written communication skills. *Ability to travel. *Demonstrated self-starter with effective planning, organization and prioritization skills.
