John Deere Commercial and Consumer Equipment is seeking a Senior Statistical Analyst to understand and analyze customer and related data and make actionable marketing recommendations based on data analysis results to help focus and personalize direct consumer marketing strategies and campaigns. In this position, you will: Manage Customer Value Models (CVM), analyzing, executing, maintaining, enhancing and interpreting the models and their outputs. Explore, expand and improve the capabilities of the CVM so as to exploit to their full advantage. Provide customized analytic services for database modeling and market research projects. Provide and present insights on customer attitudes and behavior to support actionable marketing strategy and tactics. Education Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Social Sciences or related quantitative fields, or equivalent experience. Advanced degree in a quantitative field preferred. Required Skills and Experience Strong problem solving skills; can think independently with strong intellectual curiosity. Minimum 3-5 years experience in an analytics position. Demonstrated knowledge of statistical software such as SPSS, SAS, or other similar statistical programs as demonstrated by the ability to write statistical programming codes/syntax. Detailed knowledge and experience in performing data manipulation (code/syntax writing), i.e., data recode, transpose, cleansing, and other necessary requirements before any data analysis. Knowledge and hands-on experience with Multivariate and advanced statistics including regression analysis (GLM), factor analysis, cluster analysis, discriminate analysis, conjoint analysis, categorical data analysis, and decision trees. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite with advanced Excel skills. Excellent communication/presentation skills, both oral and written. Ability to work well within a team as well as independently. Desired Skills and Experience Knowledge of Design of Experiment and survey methodology. Hands-on experience with SAS Enterprise Miner or other data mining tools. Knowledge of Visual Basic, SAS Macro and SQL. Exposure to qualitative research (i.e. In-depth interviews, focus groups, observations).
