The System Center Mobile Device Manager 2008 has opened new opportunities for making mobile devices first class citizens in corporate networks. For the sequel we are focusing on ensuring a great end user experience on Windows Mobile phones and on enabling developers to speed up development of great business applications. We believe that a great end user experience involves not only a great UI but also an infrastructure that allows for simpler and more optimal UI. The Mobile Information Worker Solutions Client team is looking for a Software Development Lead to manage the user experience team. You will involve interacting with architect, program management, test, and other developers and leads to understand requirements, turn specifications into designs and then deliver those designs. You will be responsible for reporting progress and results to management while ensuring that the work of your reports remains on schedule and of the highest quality. As a member of a new group, you will be involved in the entire product cycle and some business activities. Qualified applicants must have strong and proven leadership skills. Additionally, they must have strong coding and design skills, and good collaboration skills, and possess a skill set that includes a breadth of technical skills (C/C++, SOAP/XML, Windows Server, SQL Server, Windows Mobile, Networking, and Server Deployment). Applicants should have at least two years of experience leading teams of developers and at least 7 years experience shipping commercial software products. Cross-group collaboration, excellent communication skills, ability to deal with ambiguity, and a strong drive for results will greatly help the successful applicant.
