The Mobile Communications Product Group part of the Entertainment and Device division is one of Microsoft's fastest growing, most cutting edge businesses. The Windows Devices Core Multimedia team is looking for a Lead Software Development Engineer to help our Multimedia team through our next big release. The Multimedia team is looking for an experienced senior dev lead to work on and lead our next-generation of Windows Mobile Multimedia products. We are looking for a passionate, smart, and motivated candidate with good people skills, great development, problem solving, and debugging skills, who is ready to meet the highest standard of engineering excellence and people excellence. Lead and Development responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) leading a team of developers responsible for delivering the Media Library and desktop interface for all Multimedia capabilities for the next generation of Windows Mobile phones. Qualifications: Great People Management, Experienced Leadership, Strong analytical, design and C++ programming/debugging, SQL, and COM skills are required. Windows CE / Windows Mobile experience a strong plus. Candidates must also possess solid Cross Team Collaboration and Engineering Practice skills. A BS degree in Computer Science or related discipline, 6+ years commercial software experience with at least one full product release cycle and 2+ years experience in software development leadership is required.
