The Xbox Live Productions team develops first-party entertainment experiences for Xbox Live. As a developer in XLP, you will be working in a small team environment with opportunities for end-to-end ownership of major game features. We're small and nimble and don't have room for extreme specialization - you'll be working with a variety of modern game development aspects throughout a complete product cycle. RESPONSIBILITIES: Schedule, design and implement polished game features in a timely fashion Integrate and extend external codebases and middleware Provide advice and solutions to streamline the efforts of other disciplines (design, art, test) Iterate closely with art and game design to polish game play features QUALIFICATIONS: At least 4 years of C++ professional experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent debugging and optimization skills An in-depth understanding of the entire game development process from concept to release Self-motivated problem solving, ability to ramp quickly on new technology, and a passion for creating amazing user experiences BONUS SKILLS: Experience shipping on current generation consoles Recent experience with Xbox 360 graphics, animation, and art pipelines Recent experience with highly scalable network server code Heroic performance optimization mojo Multithreaded game development experience Experience shipping smaller games, such as Xbox Live Arcade titles Game design talent and passion Familiarity with Flash/Actionscript/Scaleform Experience integrating and using 3rd-party game middleware
