We are currently accepting applications for a Database Specialist based in our San Jose Corporate Office. Under the direction of the IT Manager, your major responsibilities will include: Designing, implementing, supporting and managing custom reports for management and staff. Defining the infrastructure and data architecture for all internal financial database(development, test, production). Creating and maintaining data dictionary for all internal finance databases. Consulting with internal departments and third party vendors on database issues. Our ideal candidate must have excellent resource management, project planning and communication skills. Hands-on experience managing production databases using SQL Server 2000 or above preferred. Ability to write SQL queries and MS queries and proven ability to design and deploy reports using Excel, Access or Crystal Reports in an enterprise environment a plus. Experience in data security and encryption techniques and issues and designing the infrastructure for a highly available system preferred. Previous financial institution and XP Systems Credit Union financial software experience a plus. A minimum of five years to ten years of similar or related experience required.
