Click Here to Apply Online Senior Applications Developer The Senior Application Developer is responsible for all aspects of the development lifecycle including assessing application requirements as delivered by an end-user or business analyst, formulating and documenting technical solutions based on an accepted application architecture, coding solutions using approved development tools according to installation coding standards, documenting and executing test plans consisting of test scenarios and specific test cases, assisting with the creation of all implementation, training and support materials, and ongoing maintenance and enhancement of previously deployed software. Responsibilities: -Maintain and exercise a highly accomplished level of capability in the Firm's technologies including but not limited to Visual Studio Team System, VB.NET, ASP.NET, C#, HTML, JavaScript, SQL Server and T-SQL, Crystal Reports, Business Objects and MetaStorm -Perform Database design - including table and index design, database normalization and de-normalization, stored procedure and view creation -Perform module design using object-oriented techniques. Focus on component re-use to minimize development effort. Actively contribute to building a company Object/Code Library -Ensure integrity of application source code through the appropriate use of source control and versioning techniques -Recommend the best technology for a given solution. Keep abreast of the technology standards developing within the company and advance these through knowledge assimilated from personal learning as well as formal training -Participate in daily Scrum meetings and Sprint Planning sessions and provide accurate estimates and identify roadblocks -Keep affected parties aware of the progress of development efforts -Take the lead in ensuring the technical integrity of projects being developed with the assistance of non-company resources Requirements: -Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or closely related technical subject -3 years of related experience required; 5 years of related experience preferred Knowledge of data warehousing, business intelligence, and financial applications a plus -Excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to communicate technical issues and material to non-technical people -Minimum of three years experience with C# and SQL Server required; experience with Visual Studio Team System, VB.NET, ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript, T-SQL, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, and MetaStorm preferred -Experience in a Agile/SCRUM environment preferred -Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision -Ability to work in a team oriented/collaborative environment -Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast paced environment -Able to handle confidential information in a reliable manner -Strong documentation skills required -Must be flexible and able to work in different areas of scope related to the job
