Hi,

One of our clients is looking for 6(six) IT Consultants(Java, J2EE, XML, Oracle) for a long term project in Salt Lake City, Utah. See the Scope Of Work that details the nature of the project and the skill set that the client is looking for.

This will be a 1(one) year contract initially which will be extendable up to 3(three) years. The project start date is likely to be Dec. 15th and completion will be in Dec. 2011.

The candidates must be US Citizens who are willing to undergo a criminal background check upon award of the contract.

Scope Of Work

The consultant will re-write the current Drivers License System, a system currently written in Natural and stored in ADABAS, a Software AG product. The new system will be accessed through several interfaces including a web-based front end and web services, and use the Informix database.

The contractor will work on a team that works directly with the Driver License Division to solidify business requirements and design decisions. The contractor will become familiar with the current business rules and practices by reviewing existing documentation, meeting with users, learning the current production systems, and reviewing the current production systemsˇ¦ code base.

The contractor will rewrite and enhance existing solutions using the below technologies to meet the goals and requirements of the Driver License Division. The contractor will be responsible for documenting and unit testing developed code.

This project will be implemented in different phases. During each implementation phase, care will be given with regards to data integrity with regards to both the data conversion from ADABAS to Informix as well as some backwards synchronization to ADABAS from the new system for remaining legacy processes.

Requirements of Proposed Consultant (Required Skills):
The Department expects the selected contractor(s) to have expert level information technology experience and skills with:

Java - a minimum of three (3) years programming experience, and
??Web application development or J2E web services, and
??XML, and
??SQL, and
??ORM, and
??Eclipse, and
??Unit Testing, and
??Source Control

Optional But Preferred Skills:
??Google Web Toolkit (GWT), and
??Informix, and
??Web Logic, and
??Oracle ALDSP, and

??XQuery, and
??HTML, and
??CSS

Prior experience and knowledge of the relevant business environment, Drivers License systems, would be a plus, however this is not required.
