View location information to learn more about the area.   One of the benefits of working at John Deere is our comprehensive career development program.  Our employees' internal resumes are accessible on-line by managers and human resources, allowing them to match employee interests with company needs—in short, getting the right people in the right jobs, at the right time.   John Deere Construction & Forestry Division is seeking a Supply Chain Integration Engineer to support the new product teams with integration of hydraulic technology & components.  In this position you will:   Work on advanced integration of hydraulic technology and components prior to and inside of the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP)/new product development programs. Facilitate communication of Deere future product technology needs for hydraulics to our supply base.   Coordinate Research & Development (R&D) initiatives with our suppliers and C&F engineering groups to better integrate hydraulic components into new C&F products. Develop an advanced R&D strategy for development of hydraulic components and systems. Test components prior to EPDP projects to facilitate improved system design and risk mitigation. Travel to supplier locations both domestically and internationally (up to 40%).     Education Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Technology discipline highly preferred or equivalent education and significant experience with hydraulics technology.   Required Skills and Experience Basic understanding of hydraulic components and the processes used to manufacture. Understanding of drawings-schematics, test techniques and equipment. 2+ years with engineering tools, systems and databases experience (educational & internship experience will be considered). Experience with a 3-D modeling tool such as Pro/E. Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 40%. Desired Skills and Experience Demonstrated project management experience and the ability to keep projects on-time. 2+ years experience in hydraulic systems design and related engineering principles.   Familiarity with a hydraulic modeling package such as Easy5 or AMESim. Electrical/electronics experience. Test experience related to hydraulic and/or electronic systems. Experience with construction and/or forestry equipment. Experience working with customers and end users. Knowledge of heavy equipment manufacturing or related assembly processes.   This position will be posted for a minimum of 7 business days and unposted when a qualified pool of candidates is achieved.
